Terms of service

Scope
These terms apply to everyone who uses the SMS Terra website and its virtual phone numbers (the service). Creating an account means you accept them.
Account key
An account is one account key. The server keeps a hash of the key to check logins. A lost key cannot be recovered, and keeping it safe is your responsibility. Up to 3 accounts can be created per IP address.
The service
The service sells one-time numbers and rental numbers that receive SMS. Numbers do not send SMS or make calls. Available apps, countries and prices can change with supply.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully, for example to verify your own accounts, test apps or run work accounts. Taking over other people's accounts, fraud, phishing, spam, illegal trade and attacks on other services are not allowed.
Balance and top-ups
The smallest top-up is $10. Top-ups are added after the payment is confirmed. The price of a number is taken from your balance when you buy it.
Refunds
If a one-time number receives no code within 20 minutes, or you cancel before a code arrives, the price returns to your balance. Balance is not withdrawn to a wallet.
Suspension
Use that breaks these terms can lead to suspension without notice. Remaining balance is handled according to the violation.
Liability
The service provides numbers and shows the SMS they receive. You are responsible for what you do on services you join with them. The service is not liable for losses from events outside its control, such as supplier outages.
Changes
New versions of these terms are posted on this page with their effective date. Using the service after that means you accept them.
